During the weekend from the 25th to the 27th of April the 2nd International-Austrian Rafting championship had taken place. It closed with an exciting down river race on sunday. The three winners accomplished the 10km long run with only a few seconds time difference.
28 teams from different nations were involved. Amongst others Austria, Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary and even Japan had been participants..
On saturday already the competitions Slalom and Head to Head, which were battled on the "campingplatzschwall" atracted very much spectators.
But the absolute highlight was the spectacular Head zo Head finale on saturday. It was arranged after sunset. For this purpose a floodlight construction had to be arranged.
The auxiliary fire brigade of Wildalpen gave the ceremony a solemnly touch by this professional lighting.
The competition is organised from the sportsclub of Wildalpen / section canoe
